Victor Hugo successfully made the featherweight limit when he arrived at the early (and official) weigh-ins for UFC 308 on Friday morning, just a day before his fight against Farid Basharat in the “Prelims” portion of the Oct. 26 fight card at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Unfortunately, his bantamweight bout was cut short.

“I did bantamweight like a pro,” Basharat wrote on Instagram. “The opponent has gained 10 pounds. To keep the fight (intact), I said I would destroy him at featherweight. I’ll make him pay, nothing will change.”

The official weights were 137 (Basharat) and 145.5 (Hugo).
