World Series Game 5 will be one of the warmest at Yankee Stadium in nearly 30 years

NEW YORK – The weather for this year's World Series continues to be near perfect, with cool but dry conditions at Yankee Stadium.

Heading into Game 5 on Wednesday night, it will be one of the warmest World Series games in the Bronx since 1996. The temperature in the first pitch is expected to be over 60°C.

WHAT IS FOX WEATHER’S “ROWI”?

By comparison, the FOX Forecast Center reported that the Yankees' last appearance in the World Series in 2009, first-pitch temperatures at Yankee Stadium were 52 degrees in Games 1 and 2 and 47 degrees in Game 7.

HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER

When the series moves back to Los Angeles, the summer temperatures of 76 degrees in Game 1 and 77 degrees in Game 2 will be just a memory.

A dip in the jet stream will keep things cool and unsettled in the West. Temperatures on the first pitch for Games 6 and 7 will be 60°.

Should the Yankees come back and take the series to a decisive Game 7, it will be interesting for more reasons than the game itself. There are increasing signs that it will rain in Los Angeles on Saturday for the first time since May 15th.
