Whoopi Goldberg criticizes Donald Trump's 'dance' at Pennsylvania town hall

The hosts of The view criticized former President Donald Trump for his appearance at a town hall in Pennsylvania on Monday, when he entertained the crowd with dancing and DJing for several minutes while two attendees required medical attention.

“That scared me,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said during Tuesday’s episode. “He scared me a lot, but that really upset me.”

The former president attended the town hall in Oaks, Pennsylvania, moderated by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem. The proceedings were paused while two participants received medical care, after which Trump jokingly asked if “anyone else wants to faint?” Then he said, “Let's not ask any more questions.” Let's just listen to music. Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?”

“I could joke about it all day, but it's serious. “That means this isn’t even the guy I worked for, who had all sorts of problems back then,” Griffin said. “There is a very real decline.”

The town hall meeting came after Kamala Harris questioned Trump's mental intelligence and branded her White House rival “unstable” and “unhinged” at a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday.

“The guy knows the difference between a rally or whatever that wasn't, and Dancing with the starssaid co-host Joy Behar. “He’s so insane now that he has no idea what reality is.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin said Trump could have shown more empathy toward attendees who needed help instead of music.

“It was very hot there (at City Hall), maybe they should address the issue of climate change,” Hostin said. “You know, why is it so hot right now? Maybe say something about healthcare.”

Harris was responding to the specific moment of Trump's recent rally in Pennsylvania, where the former president's actions confused some audience members.

Harris responded, bluntly writing on

On the other hand, campaign spokesman Steven Cheung wrote on Playlist!”

He added that “something very special was happening in Pennsylvania” as the scene unfolded, writing that Trump “is unlike any other politician in history, and that's great.”

Songs performed included “An American Trilogy” by Elvis Presley, “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinéad O’Connor, the iconic “YMCA” by Village People and “Memory” from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats.
