And while it's true that the Ducks should have respected the Big Sky, since that shaky win the Ducks have been as dominant as anyone would have expected at the start of the season ranked third in the country. That's why if Georgia beats Texas on Saturday afternoon in Austin, the Ducks should start next week as the top-ranked team in the country.

A narrow win against Boise State in Week 2 didn't seem like a quality win at the time, but with the rise of Heisman front-runner Ashton Jeanty, the Broncos appear to be a deserving top-25 team and this win is looking more impressive every week. Additionally, the team has taken care of business in Oregon's other games, beating its last four unranked opponents by at least 21 points each.

Dillon Gabriel skyrocketed in the Heisman rankings in Oregon's 7-0 start, completing 77 percent of his passes this season. The Ducks would deserve a jump to first place if Texas falls this weekend.
