In Season 3, Mickey is on a mission for justice after his friend Glory Days mysteriously dies at the end of Season 2. “I’m going to find out who did this,” the defense attorney says in the trailer. “I will find him and bury him.”

At the end of the season two finale, Mickey meets a potential new client, Julian La Cosse, who is in prison for allegedly murdering his friend. La Cosse wants Mickey to represent him, explaining that a woman named Giselle Dallinger once told him to call him if he was ever in trouble. “Now she’s dead and I’m in trouble,” he reveals.

However, since Mickey doesn't recognize the name Giselle, he goes to the doctor's office to find out who she is. There he discovers that the body is actually Glory Days, a friend with whom he previously worked on the Jesus Menendez case. At the beginning of season two, Glory told Mickey that she was moving to Hawaii.

When Mickey sees her body, he remembers that he received a postcard from Hawaii shortly after Glory left. It said: “You are the only thing I miss about LA. Stay healthy. XO, Gloria.”

In Season 3, Mickey is determined to find Glory's killer and seek justice for his late friend. “It will be the most difficult case he has ever had, both professionally and personally,” executive producer Ross Fineman told Netflix’s Tudum. “This was his girlfriend, someone he cared about, and he needs to know what happened to her. And there is a feeling that he could be responsible in some way.”
