TV's biggest police drama will return to where it all began with a new spin-off.NCIS: OriginsThe brand new show takes fans back to the 90s and the beginnings of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the investigative team.

Austin Stowell will play young Gibbs, but Mark Harmon, who originated the role, will continue to serve as executive producer. The two-hour premiere follows, in which the aspiring special agent seizes his own destiny while mourning the loss of his wife and daughter. Harmon narrates each episode of the series, providing for the first time insight into the stoic character's mindset and foreshadowing what's to come.

New episodes of the spin-off will premiere on CBS and Paramount+.

When does “NCIS Origins” premiere?

The two-episode premiere will air Monday, October 14 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS Television Network and will stream on Paramount+ following the Season 22 premiere of parent show NCIS. New episodes appear every Monday at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Where can I watch “NCIS Origins”?

“NCIS Origins” airs Monday nights on CBS and Paramount+. Episodes will be available live and on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs.

Will the episodes be released weekly or all at once?

The first two episodes will be released together. New episodes will premiere Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream the next day on Paramount+. The series finale will be on January 6, 2025.

What is “NCIS Origins” about?

The series follows Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Austin Stowell, in 1991, years before the start of the hit film “NCIS.” The new franchise is narrated by Mark Harmon. In “NCIS: Origins,” Gibbs begins his career at the fledgling Naval Investigative Service's Camp Pendleton office, where he cements his place on a courageous team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks, portrayed by Kyle Schmid.

The series also stars Mariel Molino as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Sullivan and Diany Rodriguez as Special Agent Vera Strickland.
