Former President Donald Trump will be in Chicago again this week, this time with his Vice President JD Vance, but they will be attending different events.

Last week, Trump remained in the city while traveling to another appearance outside the Chicago area, prompting a series of road closures on both Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Now both members of the Republican presidential nomination will appear at events in the Chicago area this week.

According to the Economic Club of Chicago, Trump will appear at an event co-hosted by Bloomberg in downtown Chicago on Tuesday. According to a press release, Trump will be interviewed by Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait at an unspecified location on Tuesday morning.

The event will be streamed on the Economic Club of Chicago YouTube channel.

According to Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times, Ohio Sen. Vance, who is Trump's nominee in the election, is also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser in the Chicago suburbs on Monday.

This would be Trump's second appearance in Chicago of the campaign season, after he spoke as part of a panel discussion at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in the city. The event sparked controversy after Trump attacked Vice President Kamala Harris' racial identity and promised to pardon the Jan. 6 rioters if he was elected president.

Vice President Kamala Harris did not appear at the convention but spoke to delegates via a virtual call in the following weeks.

Harris and other Democrats appeared at the Democratic National Convention at the United Center in August, but mostly focused on campaign stops in nearby battleground states, particularly Wisconsin and Michigan.
