    Oklahoma Football returns home to continue SEC play in Week 8, facing an opponent for the first time.

    After a loss in the Red River Rivalry last week, the Sooners (4-2 overall, 1-2 in the SEC) host the South Carolina Gamecocks (3-3, 1-3) at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday. October 19th, kick-off at 11:45 a.m.

    Saturday's meeting is, of course, the first SEC matchup between the Sooners and Gamecocks, but it is also the first meeting between both programs in history. It's the first true home game for Oklahoma since Sept. 21, when Brent Venables' team fell to Tennessee.

    The Gamecocks, coached by former Oklahoma assistant Shane Beamer, are coming off two straight losses to Ole Miss and Alabama. In addition to quarterback LaNorris Sellers, running back Raheim Sanders is a player to watch in South Carolina's offense. The 6-foot tailback is seventh in the SEC in rushing yards with 393 yards.
