Warriors Injuries: Steph Curry leaves game after rolling ankle

The Golden State Warriors started the 2024-25 NBA season almost completely healthy. But unfortunately it doesn't seem to have lasted long. During Sunday night's home game against the LA Clippers, the Dubs apparently suffered an injury to the one player they can't afford to lose: Steph Curry.

About midway through the third quarter, Curry appeared to have twisted his ankle and went to the bench in noticeable pain before being substituted as usual. He was seen on the bench talking to coach Rick Celebrini and putting a resistance band around his ankle.

It was unclear whether Curry would return to the game, but he checked back in after a Warriors timeout eight minutes into the fourth quarter. And just seconds later, the injury appeared to aggravate again, twisting his ankle and setting up a block on the very first possession after the timeout.

Curry immediately left the field limping, resting his left leg. This time he went straight to the dressing room, accompanied by Celebrini.

We will keep you informed of any available updates. And in the meantime, we'll all hold our breath.

Update: Curry has officially been ruled out with a left ankle sprain.

Second update: Steve Kerr said that Curry's sprain is “mild or moderate” and that the star will have an MRI on Sunday night. Hopefully we'll have more information on Curry's injury and MRI results on Monday morning.
