Walmart has announced that they will be closing all of their locations in Missouri and Illinois on the same day very soon, so you'll need to plan accordingly.

In a press release, Walmart's corporate wing said all stores in Missouri and Illinois were affected. This specifically covered their upcoming holiday schedule, and there is one day you need to know when none of their locations in Missouri or Illinois will be open.

Since 2020 Walmart has decided NOT to be open on Thanksgiving and that will be the case this year too.

Walmart also announced that they will once again partner with the Salvation Army for their Red Kettle program outside of nearly all stores in Missouri and Illinois. They said they helped the Salvation Army raise more than $34 million last year to feed and clothe the less fortunate in our communities.

At least now if you're making holiday plans, you know that Thanksgiving Day shopping at Walmart stores in Missouri and Illinois won't be an option. Luckily (in the truest sense of the word), their employees can enjoy this day with their families again.
