Voter turnout in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe tops 40% as early voting continues

DORAL, Fla – The latest official election data available Thursday showed voter turnout in South Florida exceeded 40% as early voting, which allows voting at any designated location before Election Day, was still underway.

In Monroe County, voter turnout was over 49%, with 13,123 voting early and 12,727 voting by mail. Early voting ends November 2nd at 5:00 p.m.

In Broward County, voter turnout topped 43%, with 287,267 voting early and 208,156 voting by mail. Early voting ends November 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

In Miami-Dade County, voter turnout topped 42%, with 404,790 voting early and 237,504 voting by mail. Early voting ends November 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

Statewide data shows more than 3.7 million voted early in Florida, including more than 1.9 million Republicans and more than a million Democrats.

It also shows that over 2.4 million voted by mail in Florida, including over 1 million Democrats and more than 882,000 Republicans.

The deadline to return a ballot and vote in person is November 5th at 7:00 p.m. if voting is limited to a specific location.
