Vinicius Junior scores a hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Dortmund 5-2 in the Champions League

Vinicius Junior scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid turned boos into celebrations with a 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund Champions League on Tuesday, while Paris Saint-Germain dropped further points.

Madrid trailed 2-0 at halftime in a second leg of last year's final, but recovered with three goals from Vinicius Junior – who also scored in the final in May – and one each from Antonio Rüdiger and Lucas Vazquez.

The crowd had cheered loudly after the half-time whistle as Madrid struggled and looked set for a second straight Champions League defeat after 14 games unbeaten in the competition.

“We know that anything can happen when we play at home in front of our fans,” said Vinicius Junior. “When we got to the dressing room we were all very quiet, we just listened to the coach and said only one thing: if we scored the first goal we would rally and win, and we did that again.”

Belgium's Brugge had to play with 10 men for most of the game after Raphael Onyedika was sent off in the 40th minute, but leveled the score in the 51st minute with a goal from Kyriani Sabbe. Tijjani Reijnders later scored twice to give Milan a much-needed win.

Camarda came on as a substitute in the 75th minute and became the youngest Italian debutant in the Champions League. He briefly thought he had also broken the record as youngest Champions League goalscorer, but his header was ruled offside to end the celebrations.

Arsenal is recovering

Arsenal then stabilized the ship 0-2 defeat against Bournemouth Last week he beat Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 in the English Premier League, but finished the game with even more injury worries.

Villa above

Villa are playing in Europe's top competition for the first time in 41 years and are the only team to have won their first three games after beating Bologna 2-0. John McGinn and Jhon Duran were the scorers for Unai Emery's side in the second half at Villa Park.

Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Brest and Benfica could join Villa on nine points at the top of the 36-team table on Wednesday.

El Bilal Touré scored in stoppage time to give Stuttgart a 1-0 win at Juventus, ending a ten-man Champions League game for the second consecutive year. Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin had recently saved Enzo Millot's penalty.

Wilfried Singo scored from around 30 meters out to ensure Monaco remained unbeaten with a 5-1 win over Red Star Belgrade. Monaco has taken seven points from the first three games.

Girona earned their first ever Champions League victory by beating Slovan Bratislava 2-0. Sporting Lisbon defeated Sturm Graz 2-0.
