Model Mayowa Nicholas walked the Victoria's Secret runway for the first time in 2018 and told TODAY.com what it feels like to return in 2024.

“I think it's different because as you can see, the energy of the room is honestly about celebrating women,” she said while getting her hair and makeup done Tuesday morning. “I feel like this is the year of women and it feels good. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and ethnicities and we all come together to make this great show. It’s different from past shows.”

Nicholas shared her reaction when she found out she was cast on the show again this year.

“I found out about March or April and I remember it was my agent who told me. I was with my mom and we were just holding hands and just screaming, 'You're going to be at the show!' '” she recalled. “It was just an exciting moment, and I mean, for my country too. I'm from Nigeria and they're all going to be watching, even though it's going to be so late, they're all staying awake to watch .” So it’s amazing.

Nicholas shared her favorite memory from the 2018 fashion show.

“That was the first time I met Adriana (Lima), so I was like, Oh my God, I always watched the old Victoria's Secret shows and saw her in person… That was definitely great.”

“First of all, I'm excited about running with wings. This is my first time going with wings so I’m so excited,” Nicholas said. “I'm excited to see Tyra (Banks) because, oh my God, it's like no one's seen her – this is a comeback! So I’m so happy to see her, I’m looking forward to everything, honestly.”

As for her outfit, Nicholas shared as many details as possible.

“My outfit is very rock star-like. I have a bodysuit with Swarovski embellishments, so there will be lots of diamonds and black – literally like a black diamond.”
