US Elections 2024: Will Donald Trump win a landslide victory in the 2024 US elections? Here's what Nate Silver says

Nate Silver's latest election forecast found that former US President Donald Trump has a 21.4% chance of winning the seven crucial swing states, which is ultimately twice as likely as US Vice President Kamala Harris, which stands at 12.6%, Newsweek reported. If Donald Trump ends up winning all seven swing states, namely Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, then he would end up securing 312 Electoral College votes, which is the mark of 270 required for victory would surpass.

According to Newsweek, Nate Silver's model suggested that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will win outright in swing states, and that is the most likely outcome, while a complete victory for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is a close second.

Despite Kamala Harris' narrow lead in the national polls, currently at 48.5% to Donald Trump's 47.8%, Nate Silver predicted that Donald Trump has a 52.6% chance of winning the Electoral College, compared to Kamala Harris at 47%. Newsweek also noted that Nate Silver's model shows that while Kamala Harris is much more likely to win the popular vote, her chances of winning in a landslide are just 1.1%, while Donald Trump is at 0.1%.

Newsweek claimed that polls and opinion polls remained extremely close throughout the U.S. presidential election cycle, while Nate Silver emphasized the fact that the presidential election was essentially a draw, while highlighting the unpredictability of the U.S. presidential election day results .
