Undecided races of the 2024 election: Live results and analysis

On Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., Harris delivered his speech to supporters gathered at Howard University. She said it was important for those who supported her and voted for her to accept the results of the election but not give up the fight. She called on supporters to mobilize and organize to support democracy, the rule of law, and reproductive rights and other freedoms.

The reckoning is postponed until today due to reported lower Democratic turnout in key swing states and the unconventional process that led to Harris moving to the top of the candidate list following Biden's decision to run for a second term. Of course, many factors led to Trump's victory, but overall it is clear that voters across the country were familiar with him and his campaign promises and voted for him, despite voters' negative opinion of him and the concerns they may have had about him to the events of January 6 and the fact that he is the first elected president to be convicted of felony and other charges.

Harris' speech comes as Democrats reflect that not only is Trump on the verge of returning to the presidency, but that he will at least do so with a Republican majority in the Senate and possibly the House as well.

Harris warned her followers, “Do not despair,” and concluded on a hopeful note, calling on Americans to “fill the sky with the light of a brilliant billion stars—the light of optimism, faith, truth and service.” ..”And may this work guide us even in the face of setbacks to the extraordinary promise of the United States of America.”
