UFC adds 3 veteran fights to Tampa card

High-profile fights continue to happen at UFC Tampa.

In its most recent announcement on October 30, the UFC announced three additional fights for Florida Fight Night on December 14, including two fan-favorite veteran fighters.

UFC veteran Cub Swanson will make his 25th Octagon appearance when he takes on Billy Quarantillo, a fierce striker known for his pace and entertaining fights. Swanson and Quarantillo are looking to bounce back from losses to Andre Fili and Youssef Zalal, respectively.

While Swanson has lost twice the number of fights in the UFC, his most recent defeats in finals have all been due to leg or body attacks, while Quarantillo was knocked down by Edson Barboza in mid-2023 and later submitted by Youssef Zalal in March of this year.

Michael Johnson bounced back from a devastating knockout of Diego Ferreira by botching Darrius Flowers' UFC debut in February. The Menace has been up and down throughout his career, but still proves to be a dangerous test for young talent.

Ottman Azaitar was an exciting prospect before suffering two consecutive knockout losses in 2022 and 2023. “Bulldozer” took the stage with one of the most brutal one-shot knockouts in UFC history at UFC 243.
