Tyler, The Creator Shares New Song “NOID,” Video Featuring Feat. Ayo Edebiri: Be careful

Last week, Tyler, The Creator released a mysterious, captivating teaser video for a new song called “St. Chroma.” The video hinted at a new project by the name Chromacopyand Tyler confirmed it a day later. Chromacopy is indeed a new album from Tyler, The Creator, and it will be released in just a week – mid-week. Since then, Tyler has revealed the (amazing) line-up for his Camp Flog Gnaw Festival and now he has another track and video for us.

Tyler, The Creator's latest title is called “Noid” and it's all about the paranoia that comes with fame. As with “St. “Chroma” features a video directed by Tyler himself. (He's not using his Wolf Haley alter ego this time; it's reportedly directed by Tyler Okonma, his government name.) Once again, we're not sure we're getting the entire title, but this time the video lasts almost three minutes. As with “St. “Chroma” features Tyler wearing a plastic face mask and a Duo Hawk haircut, and it starts off in black and white before transitioning to color. This time it's a surreal, exaggerated vision of celebrity paranoia, and star of stage and screen Ayo Edebiri makes a cameo appearance as a pushy and unhinged fan.

As for the song, it's weird! “Noid” has psych-rock guitars, layered harmonies, possibly sampled African vocals, and a short Tyler rap verse. It's slow and layered and seems designed to evoke the excited, freaky feeling Tyler describes in the song. Check it out below.

Chromacopy will be released on October 28th. on Columbia.
