Tyler, the Creator rarely follows rules, and instead of releasing his new album on its usual release date of 9pm PT on Thursday, he broke with convention and released his latest solo album, Chromakopia, on a Monday at 3am PT.

The album features guest appearances from Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, Childish Gambino, Schoolboy Q, Doechii and on the track “Sticky” from Lil Wayne, GloRilla and Sexyy Red. The album was produced entirely by Tyler, with the exception of the opening track “St. Chroma,” which was co-produced with Sault founder Inflo (Michael Kiwanuka, Cleo Sol, Adele).

The release culminated a short but busy release for the album, which was first announced just 12 days ago. The album opened with a snippet of the cryptic “St. Chroma”, the single “Noid” alongside another video and the announcement of the line-up for the 10th edition of his Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival (scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on November 16th and 17th) announced a world tour as a special one Guests included Lil Yachty and Paris Texas hosted an album listening event at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The album marks the first new music from Tyler since releasing the expanded version of his excellent 2021 album Call Me If You Get Lost early last year.
