A male guard reportedly turned into a police officer Spirit Airlines flight and let out two women wearing crop tops. Passengers Tara and Teresa took a video of the incident, which showed fellow passengers also asking the male companion if there was a dress code. According to a DailyMail report, Teresa and Tara wore pants and sweaters but took them off on the plane because it was warm. However, they were asked to cover themselves. The plane was flying from Los Angeles to New Orleans.
“It's just humiliating to be escorted and treated like a criminal just because we wore crop tops. It was such a dehumanizing experience. We wasted our time, other people’s time, our money, our dignity,” Tara said.
“It's very warm and humid and hot on the plane because they don't have air conditioning or anything like that, so we just take off our sweaters and the single male flight attendant comes up to us and says, 'You guys need to put some clothes on.' “Put your sweaters back on immediately,” Tara said.

“We were both just a little shocked and wanted to cover ourselves with our sweaters a little bit because we were nervous and had no idea what was going on. We were sweating because it was so hot, so we took our sleeves off.” We wore sweaters, but we covered our stomachs and cleavage with the sweaters because that was apparently so offensive to him.
A female crew supervisor told them that she didn't have a problem with the clothing they were wearing, only the male flight attendant did. The manager then offered to rebook her flights, but that ultimately didn't happen and they had to take another flight.
Spirit Airlines told DailyMail.com they are in contact with Teresa and Tara and are investigating the matter. “Our contract of carriage, a document to which all guests agree when making a reservation with us, sets forth certain dress standards for all guests traveling with us,” the airline said.
