Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, increasingly prone to tantrums and outbursts of violent rhetoric as the election approaches, railed against his former stomping ground, Fox News, after the network announced that his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, had agreed to an interview.

While Trump himself has missed every opportunity to answer tough questions, including a second debate with Harris (he lost the first by a sound margin) and a 60 Minutes Interview At CBS, he has devoted much of his time and energy to stoking fears about immigration, repeating his desire to be a “dictator,” and insulting Harris for the extensive media attention she has received. Harris has now taken advantage of numerous opportunities to speak on various platforms, including interviews with radio host Howard Stern, 60 minutesthe popular one Call her dad Alex Cooper's podcast and upcoming Fox News interview with chief political anchor Bret Baier.

Trump raged against Harris, Baier and the conservative network on social media Monday, complaining, “Kamala Harris wisely chose Bret Baier of FoxNews to give a much-needed interview because he is considered 'Fair & Balanced.'” if also often very gentle on those in the 'cocktail scene' of the left.” The former president accused Fox of “becoming so weak and soft on the Democrats and constantly polluting the airwaves with unfettered Kamala representatives, that everything no longer matters.”

Despite Trump's bitter feelings toward the network, he appeared on Fox News on Sunday for an interview with Maria Bartiromo in which she gave him free rein to spread baseless lies and refrained from engaging with him when Trump resorted to military means took action against US citizens who opposed him on election day. Unsurprisingly, Trump praised the Fox host for doing a “wonderful job” while simultaneously lambasting “one-sided, negative Democrats” for promoting his fascist plan.

Harris will meet with Baier on Fox News during the anchor conference in Pennsylvania on Wednesday Special report at 6 p.m. ET. This will be the Democratic presidential candidate's first formal interview on the network.

Baier had already interviewed Trump in 2023, in which he asked the former president about his alleged misuse of classified documents after he left the White House. During the televised sit-down, Trump essentially confessed to stealing and leaking top-secret government information after his presidency. Trump's Fox appearance at the time came a week after he was arrested and charged with criminal charges as part of the federal investigation into hoarding classified materials.
