Tri-Star Cabinet Fire: Evacuation Recommended for Some: New Lenox PD

NEW LENOX, IL – New Lenox residents north of a massive fire at Tri-Star Cabinet and Top Co. have been ordered to evacuate, New Lenox Police Chief Louis Alessandrini said.

Evacuation is recommended but not mandatory as heavy smoke continues to rise in that direction, Alessandrini said. Police have also asked motorists and residents to avoid the area as road closures and delays are expected.

Videos and photos from the scene show flames engulfing Tri-Star Cabinet And Top Co. at Cedar Road and Illinois Highway. Witnesses report that a thick, heavy black cloud of smoke could be seen above the building and was visible from afar.
