WATCH LIVE: David Payne and the News 9 weather team are tracking severe storms.

Rain and thunderstorms will impact central and eastern Oklahoma.

This comes after a series of severe storms spawned multiple tornadoes in Oklahoma on Sunday, damaging homes across the state.

Active Storm Warnings and Storm Warnings will be posted here as soon as they are issued. There are no current warnings or watches.

What is the weather like on Monday in Oklahoma?

Another large storm area appeared overnight. Some of these storms are severe and produce heavy rainfall.

We have seen a number of storms with multiple points of spread. Due to low-level rotation, these storms could produce brief tornadoes.

The weather team is tracking potential wind gusts of 60-65 mph and quarter-sized hail, particularly in southeastern counties.

Timeline and severe weather risks

This is what awaits you throughout the day:

Morning: The Oklahoma City area is already experiencing heavy rain and thunderstorms, with severe lightning reported. The first wave of storms is expected to peak around 6 a.m. in downtown Oklahoma City.

Midday: A second wave of storms is expected around 11 a.m. Here we may see an increase in severe weather potential, including an increased risk of tornadoes. The storms will move eastward during the afternoon and are expected to dissipate between 1 and 3 p.m
