Tropical Storm Oscar is threatening Cuba with life-threatening floods and mudslides

Tropical Storm Oscar continues to devastate parts of eastern Cuba with torrential and heavy rainfall Windswhich leads to life-threatening fears flooding And Mudslides according to the former hurricane made landfall late Sunday afternoon.

Oscar made landfall twice on Sunday – both as a Category 1 hurricane with winds of 80 miles per hour. The first landing occurred early Sunday morning on Great Inagua Island in the Bahamas, and the second landed shortly before 6 p.m. ET near Baracoa in Cuba's Guantánamo province.

2 dead, hundreds rescued in New Mexico after flash flood emergency in Roswell

In parts, at least two people were killed and hundreds of people were rescued New Mexico on the weekend after torrential rain and Thunderstorm hit that Roswell Area, which leads to rare Flash flood emergencies as water trapped residents in their houses and vehicles were surrounded by rushing water.

Roswell city officials said many motorists were stranded in the flooding and some people were forced to wait on the roof of their vehicles to be rescued. Some vehicles were swept away by the rushing water, officials said.

Watch: Italian firefighters rescue dogs trapped in floodwaters

Cities across northern Italy are facing devastating flooding after heavy rains over the weekend, leaving at least one person dead and hundreds of water rescues required. A video shows firefighters rescuing two dogs that were stuck in an animal shelter at the time of the flood.

At the end of the video there is a photo of a large white dog and the dog that was rescued in the video sitting next to a firefighter in a fire truck after the rescue.
