After an exciting Game 1 of the World Series, attention quickly turns to Game 2.

There were plenty of fireworks in the opening game of the 2024 World Series between the Dodgers and Yankees, and the second game is sure to continue, with players like Juan Soto and Teoscar Hernandez posing home run threats.

Juan Soto (+310)

Soto struggled in the field in Game 1, but I'll back the Yankees slugger to get on the right track in Game 2.

He faces Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamato, who has been up and down in the postseason, not going more than five innings in any of his three starts. If he doesn't dig deep into this matter, a potentially taxed LA bullpen will take over.

The Dodgers don't have many lefty pitchers on the roster, which made Soto a problem in the postseason. However, when facing righties, he is as dangerous as anyone in baseball right now.

In the playoffs, Soto hit .435/.533/.913 with three home runs in 23 at bats.

With a favorable lineup in Game 2, Soto is a must-play to get yardage.

Teoscar Hernandez (+350)

Hernandez hits the heart of the Dodgers lineup, and with Freddie Freeman proving he's in good shape to be a threat in LA's batting order, Hernandez can take advantage.

The power hitter dominated lefty pitchers this season, batting .290 with an OPS of .931. The Home Run Derby champion also has a long ball rate of seven percent, higher than against right-handers (five percent).

He faces Carlos Rodon and a vulnerable Yankees bullpen on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium, where Hernandez hit 20 of his 33 homers this season.

This postseason, Hernandez is batting .300 against southpaws but has yet to hit a home run against them. I'll take the risk in game 2.
