To kick off the holiday season, Wheaton North High School's award-winning show choir Flight will host its seventh Wheaton Holiday Housewalk on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m

The Housewalk, launched in 2014, brings the community together for tours of some of North Wheaton's most beautiful homes.

Each home has its own unique style and decor, but teams of local designers, decorators and landscapers infuse the homes with some holiday cheer, which is sure to provide Housewalk guests with plenty of inspiration and joy as the winter holidays approach. Tours are also offered at each home by Flight members, who will assist guests every step of the way through the homes.

“Although we had a short break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are beyond excited to bring the magic of the Housewalk back to our community,” said Flight Director Kassy Krause. “Proceeds from this event, organized and executed by our amazing Flight members and their families, will benefit this year’s ensemble as they travel the Midwest and represent the Wheaton community in an extraordinary way.”

This year's range of homes includes:

• 25W668 Prairie, a luxurious contemporary Tudor-style home that has undergone a large-scale reconstruction to create a home that is both endearing and livable, accented by beautiful furnishings and finishes and plenty of plants. Highlights include an inviting fireplace room, a temperature-controlled wine wall, a golf simulator and much more.

• 500 W. Union, a Georgian home with a modern black and white theme that complements the character of the home. Guests will enjoy seeing a beautiful monochrome kitchen, two sunrooms, a spiral staircase and more, punctuated by a seamless mix of modern and antique pieces.

• 1114 Irving, a Colonial-style home that highlights the work of the homeowner's designers (Glow Interior Design). Recent renovations have made it even more attractive with a large porch, new lighting and paving stones. Inside, guests can see original artwork by the homeowner's Italian grandfather, who graduated from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.

• 715 N. West, a historic Foursquare, combines traditional details with modern flair. Extensions to the original 1911 floor plan allow for contemporary living with an open kitchen and family room. Charming details include eclectic wallpaper, a brick-paved mudroom, a repurposed antique pocket door, and a reclaimed window from a Chicago mansion.

Tickets, which regularly sell out, are $40 online or $50 at the door while supplies last. For more information, visit www.wheatonholidayhousewalk.com.

Proceeds benefit Flight program expenses, which include transportation to competitions, set design and construction, costumes, music copyrights, performance licenses and more.

Participants can view the houses in any order. Please note: Strollers and/or photography are not permitted in the houses. This year, guests can enjoy rest and refreshment at 302 Wheaton, 302 W. Front St., and Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N West St.

“We are beyond grateful to our homeowners, vendors, designers and local businesses for helping us revitalize Housewalk, and we can’t wait to delight our Housewalk guests with these truly spectacular homes,” Krause said.
