The Time magazine owner is slamming Kamala Harris for turning down multiple interview requests

The Time magazine owner criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for turning down multiple interview requests with the prominent publication as the White House campaign enters the home stretch.

Marc Benioff, who has owned Time since 2018, criticized the Democratic candidate on Sunday, pointing out that former President Donald Trump and President Biden – before he dropped out – sat down for interviews during their campaign.

“Despite multiple requests, TIME was not granted an interview with Kamala Harris — unlike all other presidential candidates,” tweeted Benioff, best known as the founder of Salesforce.com.

“We value transparency and publish every interview in full. Why doesn't the vice president engage with the public on the same level? #TrustMatters #TransparencyMatters #Leadership.”

In a profile of Harris published online Friday, a Time reporter noted that Trump spoke to Time for 90 minutes in two interviews and Biden also spoke to the magazine for a similar length of time.

“When she does interviews, she mostly prefers local media, culture podcasts or friendly talk shows,” author Charlotte Alter wrote in the article, which also made it clear that Harris had no interest in speaking to her.

In the last week, Harris opted to appear on “The View,” the raunchy podcast “Call Her Daddy,” “The Howard Stern Show” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Amid numerous talk shows and comedian-hosted podcasts, the vice president appeared on only one serious news program, “60 Minutes,” last Monday.

In August, it took time to write a compelling profile of the presidential candidate, even after she declined to speak to the publication at the time.

New polls suggest Harris is losing steam to Trump with Election Day about three weeks away.
