The latest SEC Power Rankings from On3, using the On3 Massey Ratings, are available after Week 7 of the college football regular season.

The On3 Massey Reviews – which were officially used during the BCS era and have been ranking college sports teams since 1995 – rank sports teams by analyzing game results, playing strength and margin of victory.

After some exciting close games in the SEC, there was a lot of movement. So without further ado, let’s take a look at this week’s edition.

It's pretty clear at this point that Texas is the best team in the SEC, and the rankings reflect that again this week. Texas has yet to have a close game this year despite facing at least two quality opponents.

Blowout wins Michigan and Oklahoma set the tone. Now the Longhorns get a chance to show how good they really are, with No. 5 Georgia on the roster this weekend.

Alabama managed to defeat South Carolina in a close, down-to-the-wire affair that was underwhelming. Once again, it seemed like the Crimson Tide had some serious weaknesses that better teams could exploit.

Nevertheless, Alabama started the season 5-1 and won a clear victory over Georgia. The only blemish so far is the loss on the road to a pretty good Vanderbilt team. A road trip to Tennessee this week should tell us much more.

Tennessee was outplayed by Florida most of the night, which gave their opponents a lot more pressure Nico Iamaleava and the once mighty Volunteers offense. So far, Tennessee has looked like a completely different team offensively against conference opponents than it has against non-conference opponents.

After a thrilling overtime win over Ole Miss, LSU made the biggest jump in this week's SEC Power Rankings with a three-spot lead. There were points where it looked like the Tigers would fold, but they never did.

After losing its second game in two weeks, Ole Miss slips two spots in this week's SEC Power Rankings. The Rebels had their chances in losses to Kentucky and LSU and simply weren't able to perform down the stretch.

When it comes to talent, Ole Miss is a clear contender. But until the Rebels learn how to shut out games against top-notch competition Lane Kiffinthe program could be on the verge of a playoff bid.

Arkansas didn't play, but benefited from a few things during the bye week and moved up a whopping three spots in the SEC Power Rankings. First of all, the team held strong in its recent win over Tennessee, as the Volunteers defeated the Gators to move to 5-1.

Then there were the losses that helped Arkansas soar. South Carolina, Kentucky and Florida all fell, moving Arkansas to No. 10 overall in the SEC.

Vanderbilt had a strong win on the road at Kentucky, while Mississippi State had a respectable performance in a road game at Georgia. Still, neither result was enough to move them up a spot in this week's SEC Power Rankings. The bottom is pretty clearly defined at this point, although expect Vanderbilt to move up soon if it can keep winning.
