The Rams' Puka Nacua returns from injury against the Vikings along with Cooper Kupp

The Los Angeles Rams' offense will get a significant boost on Thursday as several key pieces return from injury.

It was already clear that Cooper Kupp would be back in action for the midweek clash against the Minnesota Vikings, and he will now be joined by fellow star wide receiver Puka Nacua. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that the Rams are activating Nacua before prime time. This will be his first taste of game action since suffering an injury in the season opener in Los Angeles.

Regarding his workload on Thursday, the team has not yet made an official decision regarding his deployment. ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests they will make that decision closer to the game. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Nacua suffered a knee injury during training camp and aggravated the ailment in Week 1, resulting in an extended stay on IR. He has been on hold since the game against the Detroit Lions on September 8th, but will now make his highly anticipated return in Week 8 against the Vikings.

The 23-year-old had a historic rookie season in 2023 with 105 catches and a record 1,486 receiving yards to go along with six touchdowns. He caught four passes for 35 yards before completing his team's first drive.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford will certainly be overjoyed to have his two best weapons back, having been without the duo of Kupp and Nacua since September.
