The QB of the Jaguars' AFC South rival is destroyed by an analyst

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a good chance of beating the Tennessee Titans. Titans quarterback Will Levis has left little inspiration with his abysmal performances in Nashville this season. Levis has recorded 699 passing yards with five touchdowns and seven interceptions in five games.

According to ESPN “First Take” host Stephen A. Smith, those aren't quite the numbers of a quarterback worthy of national commercials. Smith recently complained about Levis' involvement in Hellman's mayonnaise commercials. Levis is a known lover of the spice.

“How the hell does he get these commercials? “See, that’s the problem with America,” Smith said. “We need to stop rewarding mediocrity… How do you get a mayonnaise commercial and act like that? I mean, come on.”

Levis is being attacked not only by media personalities like Smith, but also by his own head coach, Brian Callahan, with veiled (or perhaps not so veiled) allegations.

“You have to throw the ball to win in the NFL,” Callahan said. “You can run the ball really well, and that’s what we do. But we have to find ways when the game is close and throw it in a way that we make enough plays to give ourselves a chance to win the game.”

Things could get dire for the Titans' second-year passer. Levis has cost the Titans several games this season with stunning turnovers and moments of complete incompetence at the quarterback position.

The Tennessean's Nick Suss called the relationship between Callahan and Levis a “loser” and pointed out that the conservative rules were a major problem for the team's success.

“The Titans hired coach Brian Callahan to get the best out of Levis. So far, this has apparently only resulted in Levis completing a significantly higher number of his passes,” Suss wrote. “Big plays are on the decline. Sales have increased. Facing a Colts team that entered Week 6 with the NFL's worst defense on Sunday, the Titans completed just two passes that gained more than 10 yards. One of them was the Colts' last play from scrimmage.” their defensive backs set up in Clarksville.

“There is nothing fundamentally wrong with a dink-and-dunk style offense that focuses on short distances. The problem is that the version used by the Titans doesn't produce results. Callahan and Levis either have to prove that they can withstand an offense. “We build on short things or find ways to integrate big pieces more successfully.”
