The Ohio State Buckeyes are in big trouble after their narrow win over Nebraska

The Ohio State Buckeyes were widely expected to vent their frustration over the Oregon Ducks' loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers this afternoon.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen at all. In fact, Ohio State almost lost its second game in a row.

When the final whistle blew, the Buckeyes won with a final score of 21-17. Late in the game, Nebraska actually got a lead over Ohio State when they scored a touchdown with 10:47 left and used a two-point conversion to take a 17-14 lead.

Luckily, Will Howard found running back Quinshon Judkins for a nine-yard touchdown pass with 6:04 left in the fourth quarter. That was the final score of the game and the Buckeyes came away with a win.

While a win is a win, Ohio State has some major issues that were observed during this game.

The away loss to Oregon was understandable. The Ducks are also a national championship contender. However, the Cornhuskers are nowhere near a contender.

Just last week, Nebraska was defeated by the Indiana Hoosiers with a final score of 56-7. The Buckeyes showing up and almost losing to the Cornhuskers was a major embarrassment.

Neither side of the football played great. Howard completed 13 of his 16 pass attempts for 221 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The rushing attack recorded just 31 carries for 64 yards.

Defensively, Ohio State was able to get some stops, but they didn't look good doing it.

Today's game brings with it many more questions than answers. Ryan Day and Co. should be ashamed of the way they play. This is not the type of game a national championship contender builds after a loss.

Next week, the Buckeyes will play on the road against the currently ranked No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions. If they play anything like how they played today, they will be eliminated.

Hopefully Day can make some adjustments and get his team back on track by next weekend's game. After today's game, there is a lot of cause for concern for fans.
