The NHL's first female coach is a “disaster waiting to happen” as players will try to “get in her pants,” claims Jason Whitlock in a vile sexist slur

Jason Whitlock claims new Seattle Kraken assistant Jessica Campbell is a “disaster waiting to happen” because players will try to bully her with a vile tirade about the NHL's first female coach .

Campbell made history earlier this week when she became the first woman to get a full-time coaching role in the NHL and one of the first in all of American sports.

But after taking her place on the Seattle bench on Tuesday night, Whitlock unleashed a vile sexist tirade against the 32-year-old, claiming she would be the subject of sexual advances from Kraken players.

The controversial sports commentator said of Campbell on his “Fearless” podcast: “This woman is 32, she's the age of NHL players, she's attractive… I'm just going to stay honest because that's what we do on this show.”

“Man, I'd hate to take over HR in Seattle.” There's going to be some problems here.

“A lot of athletes, attractive coaches to work closely with, I just can’t imagine this not ending badly.”

“That whole thing: ‘Oh, they just hired the best coach.’ A 32-year-old woman was the best candidate to be an assistant coach in the National Hockey League? Miss me with this.'

Whitlock then added: “I think it's going to lead to a lot of mischief because there's a lack of real respect for this woman and then it's going to be like, 'I wonder if I'm going to get into her pants.'”

Kraken players have responded positively to the news of Campbell's appointment as assistant coach so far, with defenseman Vince Dunn praising her for making NHL history this week.

“Something we’re all proud to be a part of,” Dunn said. “Definitely setting an example for all women around the world – tonight is a special moment for them.”

However, Whitlock continued his insulting assessment of Campbell by suggesting that she might make sexual advances of her own in the Kraken locker room.

“Whatever woman is there during training camp, let's say she's a six in real life.” “During training camp she's eight and a half years old, almost nine,” he said.

“This woman is going to be attacked in this environment.” And she is a woman, she may carry out some of her own attacks.

“That’s why we need separate rooms and separate environments.”
