Delta Force It may have been an oft-forgotten classic of the FPS genre for some time, but not anymore. Team Jade has finally released the public multiplayer demo as part of the Steam Next Fest, so you can now try out both Battlefield PvP and Escape From Tarkov PvE inspired game modes. With an identity that's desperate to outgrow these influences and a ton of game modes, rewards and activities to delve into over the next week, now is the time to take Delta Force for a spin.

With the release date for Delta Force still in sight, the game is shaping up to be one of the most promising modern military FPS games on the market. Battlefield 2042 left me wanting, but Delta Force promises a similar brand of chaos and destruction. With unique combat equipment, vehicles and a not-too-distant future scenario in 2035, you and some friends can now team up in the shooter.

There are no entry requirements during this Steam Next Fest playtest, meaning anyone can play, unlike previous betas. You choose between six Delta Force operators from the start, with all firearms and accessories also unlocked in Warfare mode. Once you've equipped your soldier, it's time to stop by. The attack/defense versions of Havoc Warfare (a Battlefield-like PvP mode) and King of the Hill are available throughout SNF.

That's not all, though, as Hazard Operations (a PvE extraction mode) is also available in Early Access. Both the Zero Dam and Layali Grove maps will be playable immediately, but Space City will not unlock until Friday, October 18th. Havoc's Siege and Blitz modes will also unlock on the same day, so keep an eye out for that.

While the Delta Force Steam Next Fest demo focuses on multiplayer, that won't be all the full game has to offer at launch. Team Jade reimagines the iconic Delta Force: Black Hawk Down campaign. The action takes place in 1993 and you are a soldier on the ground during the Battle of Mogadishu.
