The floodgates are opening for Android 15, with more updates coming soon

After a late launch, Android 15 is now rolling out to Pixel phones with the latest monthly updates, and the floodgates are starting to open for other brands too.

Google first released Android 15 for AOSP in September, but delayed the update for Pixel devices until this week. And with that, the floodgates appear to be officially open for further updates to Android 15 for non-Pixel devices.

Motorola has already started rolling out Android 15 to the Edge 50 Fusion along with an October 2024 security update, although apparently in some sort of beta phase. An initial list of Motorola devices set to be updated was discovered last week, but there is no official timeline from Motorola.

Meanwhile, Asus announced a preview program for the ROG Phone 8 this week.

Previously, Vivo announced the launch of Android 15 a few weeks ago. The rollout is expected to begin soon on the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo X100 and iQOO 12.

Oppo will announce more details today, October 17th. OnePlus is also expected to announce details about OxygenOS 15 later this month, the company teases online.

One notable omission for now will be Samsung, as the company has confirmed that One UI 7, based on Android 15, will be delayed until 2025.
