The discussion between Kamala Harris and Charlamagne Tha God will air on Tuesday

Radio host Charlamagne Tha God will host a town hall-style conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris on his popular radio show “The Breakfast Club,” which airs live Tuesday. His conversation with the Democratic presidential candidate will be recorded live in Detroit. Michigan, a key swing state in this year's race. It comes amid a busy week for Harris, who is campaigning in the Great Lake State, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The radio host and comedian encouraged Michigan residents to submit questions before his conversation with Harris.

“We the People: An Audio Town Hall with Kamala Harris” airs at 5:00 p.m. ET. Listeners nationwide can watch the discussion online for free on iHeartRadio and the iHeartRadio app.

Charlamagne Tha God was concerned about the president's ability to be an effective ambassador and was critical of President Joe Biden's re-election campaign. With 8 million monthly listeners, those criticisms likely mattered to Democrats, particularly because his loyal young black audience is part of a voting bloc that the president has struggled to convert.

His discussion with Harris is part of her latest media onslaught as she steps up her public appearances after receiving criticism for not giving many interviews to traditional news outlets.

In August, shortly after Harris rose to the top of the Democratic ticket, Charlamagne asked Tha God why she wasn't taking full advantage of her virality. He urged her to collaborate with more influencers and appear in more shows. Three weeks before election day, she appears to have fulfilled his wish.

Harris appeared on a “60 Minutes” special that aired last Monday and will sit down with Fox News' Bret Baier for an interview that will air Wednesday. It will be her first interview with the station, which will be followed by many conservatives.

As November 5 approaches, most voters know which candidate they will support, but a small proportion remain undecided. Between now and Election Day, Harris and the Republican nominee to replace former President Donald Trump plan to stay on the campaign trail, making stops in key states in the hopes of winning those voters over to their side.
