The Dallas Cowboys QB goes to the medical tent and is eliminated against the Falcons

Dallas Cowboys (3-4) quarterback Dak Prescott is out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 9 road game against the Atlanta Falcons (5-3) after suffering a hamstring injury in the third quarter.

According to Jon Machota, Prescott is also dealing with swelling in his throwing hand The athlete. Cooper Rush has replaced Prescott under center.

Prescott appeared to have injured his Achilles tendon on one of his final throws of the game. After Prescott released the ball, he appeared to be in pain based on the expression on his face. He was examined in the blue medical tent before Dallas ruled him out.

Prescott completed 18 of 24 passes for 133 yards and a score before leaving the game. With Dallas trailing by two points late in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys' primary concern must be the status of their quarterback moving forward.

Dallas lost two straight games before Atlanta and is now on its way to a third. Next up is a crucial NFC East home game against the Philadelphia Eagles (5-2). The Cowboys have been underwhelming offensively this season with Prescott under center, and those issues could continue if Prescott is sidelined for an extended period of time.
