A big weekend in Austin just got bigger.

It was announced Saturday morning that ESPN's College GameDay will be held on campus in Texas next weekend. The three-hour telecast on Sept. 19 will help set the stage for that evening's Texas-Georgia football game.

According to Texas, this will be the 24th time College GameDay will be broadcast from the website of a UT football game. So far, the Longhorns are 12-11 in those games. College GameDay has been to Austin nine times, most recently for the 2022 TCU game.

Memorial Stadium since 2006. Georgia and Texas also ranked first and second in the Southeastern Conference preseason poll.

Texas (5-0, 1-0) will face Oklahoma (4-1, 1-1) this Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, Georgia (4-1, 2-1) prepares for its trip to Austin with a game against Mississippi State (1-4, 0-2).
