Ka’imi Fairbairn had bailed out the Houston Texans three times in the first six games.

There was almost a fourth time, but Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus had other plans before the final drive.

Five days after being added to the active roster, McManus started 45-yard field goal as time expired to give Green Bay a 24-22 victory over Houston on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field.

Despite a steady rushing performance from Joe Mixon, Green Bay (5-2) overcame three turnovers to win its third straight and snap Houston's Three game winning streak.

“We not pass the ball well all day long,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. “So, it wasn't good all around. We ran the ball well. I thought Joe ran the ball well. We had to pass it. It wasn't good enough, starting with protection. If we tilt then protect that is It will be difficult for the quarterback to make the plays.”

Mixon, who signed a three-year extension in the offseason, lived up to that standard with his third 100-yard effort in four games. Not only did he rush for 115 yards on 24 carries, he also scored two touchdowns in the red zone that gave Houston a 19-14 halftime lead.

Texans quarterback CJ Stroud never found a consistent rhythm on offense. He completed 10 from 21 pass attempts for a career-low 86 yards and was sacked four times in a game that featured seven lead changes.

“WI just have to be better at defending and I have to be better at getting the ball out on time. It's a variety of things,” Stroud said.

The Texans not have five defensive starters with Tackle Mario Edwards Jr., who is serving a suspension while Linebackers Azeez Al-Shair and Henry To'oTo'oCornerback Kamari Lassiter and safety Jimmie Ward were injured. Denico Autry, who recently returned from a six-game suspension, was reinserted into the lineup.

Offensively, the Texans had three fewer receivers with Nico Collins, Robert Woods and Steven Sims are all fail with injuries.

That changed the snap count. Here is the sum for Sunday Game in Lambeau.

Offensive snaps: 64

Defensive snaps: 58

Special teams snaps: 19

Diggs, who led the team with five catches and 23 catches, was also Houston's senior leader with 51. Mixon was on the field for 64% of the snaps, while Dare Ogunbowale and Dameon Pierce combined for 22 snaps.

Defensively, Neville Hewitt played all 58 snaps at middle linebacker and was the Texans' most complete player. He registered eight tackles and one interception.

For the first time this season, rookie Calen Bullock played 100% of his snaps at safety. In the second quarter, he grabbed Jordan Love to set up Mixon's 4-yard touchdown run.

The Texans return to NRG Stadium to take on the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday at noon CT.
