Taylor Swift at Boyfriend's Game instead of Harris Rally. She has a message

New Delhi:

Pop star Taylor Swift's decision to attend a soccer game instead of U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris's election rally in Pennsylvania on Monday has caused a stir online.

Taylor Swift was spotted arriving at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where she showed her support for her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce. In doing so, she dispelled any speculation that she would appear at Harris' rally, which she recently supported.

On Saturday, Vice President Harris posted a video on TikTok featuring Swift's song “Long Live (Taylor's Version).” The fan thought it was an Easter egg that confirmed Swift would be appearing at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Although Swift chose the match over the primary rally, she didn't miss an opportunity to urge voters to cast their ballots on November 5th. In an Instagram post marking the end of the US shows on the Eras Tour, Swift shared an “extreme” “important reminder” for US voters.

“And here is a friendly but critically important reminder that tomorrow is the US election and your last chance to vote,” she wrote.

Swift has been a vocal supporter of Kamala Harris and publicly supported her and her vice president, Tim Walz. In early September, Taylor Swift said she would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. She explained her choice by saying, “I am voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for rights and causes. I think I need a warrior to stand up for her.” I think she is a level-headed, gifted leader and I believe that we can achieve so much more in this country if we are guided by calm and not chaos let. I was so encouraged and impressed by their selection of Vice President Tim Walz, who has championed LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Swift urged voters to educate themselves on the issues of the day and the candidates' stances on the issues important to them, encouraging them to make an informed decision.

“As a voter, I watch and read everything I can about her proposed policies and plans for this country,” she wrote.
