SAN DIEGO – Caltrans Contractor crews will close all lanes of eastern State Route 52 from Interstate 805 to Convoy Street on Friday, November 1, from 9:00 p.m. to Monday, November 4, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m to work on the sinks.

The posted detour will have motorists traveling south on I-805 to the eastbound Interstate 8 interchange and then northbound on I-8 to northbound Interstate 15 to the eastbound SR-52 interchange and continue west.

Motorists also have the option of taking a detour on southbound I-805 to the southbound State Route 163 connector ramp to the Genesee Avenue exit and left onto the northbound SR-163 ramp to the SR-52 connector ramps in Turn east and west.

Signs will be posted to encourage alternative travel and provide awareness of the closure.

Residents and business owners in the area should expect construction noise and lighting during the closure.

The work schedule may change due to weather conditions, traffic disruptions or other structural conditions.
