Sol Reveals Why He Saved Rachel's Life in the Game (WATCH)

In this week's “Survivor 47” sneak peek video for Episode 8 (see above), Solomon “Sol” Yi tells the audience why he saved Rachel LaMonts life in the game last week when he gave her the Safety Without Power advantage. “There is actually a connection,” he explains in a private confessional. “And I'm working on building the SSAs: Sol's Secret Agents.”

Interestingly, the 43-year-old medical device salesman from Norwalk, Connecticut, has not yet told Rachel the truth about who sent her the secret parchment. But this might be something he wants to reveal to her in the future when the time is right.

The one-minute video begins with Gabe Ortis He expressed disappointment that Rachel was able to leave Tribal Council before the vote because his former Tuku alliance planned to send her home. Instead, Tuku had to “cannibalize” each other, which resulted in Gabe getting a vote and Tiyana Hallums get the other four. “Tribal didn’t go well tonight,” Gabe said. “You know, Rachel is a very threatening player and I was really looking forward to her leaving tonight… So that was quite a disaster.”

While everyone is sitting around the campfire, Rachel announces: “This is where I have to find my guardian angel. I don't know who the hell sent it. I'd like to know where it came from, but I'm just glad I had it.” As a reminder, the 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan, had the choice between “Safety Without Power” and “Block A Vote” and chose the former advantage.

The camera then switches to Sol, who confesses to viewers, “I was the one who gave Rachel the advantage and no one knows about it. I played here being a little bit goofy so people don't know that I'm a really strategic guy… I gave Rachel the advantage because I thought she was in danger – big, big trouble – at Tribal Council .” He then brings up his “connection” with her and the idea of forming an alliance of “Sol’s secret agents.”

The eighth episode of “Survivor 47” is titled “He’s All That” and will air on Wednesday, November 6th on CBS. As of this writing, there are 11 people left in the game, but only one of them will win the $1 million prize at the end of the season. Have YOU made your “survival” predictions yet?
