Snowfall is expected to increase in Colorado Sunday night into Monday. A low pressure system existed near the Four Corners, bringing snow to the San Juan Mountains and causing occasional showers across the Eastern Plains.

The system will finally begin to lift northeast, bringing another round of showers to the Plains and snow to the Front Range Mountains overnight.

Currently, the snow line is expected to drop to around 9,000 feet. Generally, 1-5 inches is expected, but some higher slopes along the Continental Divide may see more than 8 inches.

Most accumulations occur between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday morning. This will result in isolated travel impacts for the morning commute. We are watching two areas including Berthoud Pass and the Eisenhower Tunnel.

The First Alert Weather will also keep an eye on the potential for severe storms Sunday evening across southeastern Colorado.
