Look for Southern Methodist, playing its third road game since Oct. 5 (with a trip to the West Coast in the mix), to be a worthy contender to cover that big number. The Mustangs have a turnover margin of plus-7; They have a plus-6 on their four-game winning streak. And they'll be going up against a Duke squad that's wreaking havoc, especially in the front seven. The Devils are solid all around on defense and should have some turnovers and/or field position gains in this evening game at home.

On offense, Duke could definitely use some short fields. But when they play from behind, they are doing so a) at least against an SMU defense that allows a ton of explosive plays and b) against a Mustangs defense that has been terrible in the red zone. In 21 trips inside the 20, SMU opponents scored 16 touchdowns and two field goals.
