Rohit Shetty had the perfect Diwali gift for his fans – the next film in his cop universe, which continues the story of Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham with Singham Again. As you'd expect from a marquee release, it brought larger-than-life characters to the screen and brought multiple actors together in a single picture. The result was fireworks, including at the box office, as the film enjoyed a great collection on its opening day.

According to initial estimates, Singham Again opened with a whopping Rs 43.50 crore on the first day. With this, Ajay Devgn scores the biggest opening goal of his career. His best opening day number came from Singham Returns, which grossed Rs 32.09 crore in 2014. This also marks Rohit Shetty's greatest opening game. However, it failed to surpass Stree 2's first day collection and became the biggest opener of 2024.

Singham Again clashed with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office and as predicted, both films did well and attracted audiences to the theaters. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is lagging behind with Rs 35.50 croreIt still did remarkably well at the box office, considering recent films haven't done so well. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had a higher occupancy at 75.30 percent than Singham Again at 65.35 percent.

The fans are now looking forward to it next film of the cop universe – Mission Chulbul Singham. It is expected to get bigger with Rohit Shetty merging with the Dabangg franchise and Salman Khan's Chulbul Pandey joining this universe.

India Today Digital gave the film 3.5 stars. Our review of the film said, “Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's mutual love and trust make Singham a successful franchise. No one but Ajay can play Singham and no other role can portray him in such a heroic manner. The actor can only do.” It is convincing to defeat invincible villains just by slapping them in the face. But that's also a mistake considering the fight between him and Arjun ends at the climax thanda.”

Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone, with cameos from Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
