Shohei Ohtani shared a courageous message after the Dodgers' World Series win

Shohei Ohtani has made a name for himself in the 2024 season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers superstar hit 54 home runs, stole 59 bases and capped his spectacular regular season with a World Series title.

After L.A. defeated the New York Yankees in five games on Wednesday night to secure the 2024 World Series championship, Ohtani had a message for Andrew Friedman, the Dodgers' president of baseball operations.

“All right,” Ohtani told Friedman, according to Rustin Dodd of The Athletic. “Nine more, nine more.”

Ohtani was referring to the number of titles he thinks the Dodgers will win since he has nine seasons left with the club.

“He won a championship his first year (with the Dodgers),” Friedman said, according to Dodd. “He says, ‘That’s easy. We'll just repeat it nine more times.'”

“I think there's a legitimate argument that he's the best player to ever play the game,” Friedman said. “SI, obviously this just helps push this further.

Ohtani signed a $700 million contract with the Dodgers last winter. Despite being unable to pitch due to surgery this season, Tommy John performed well with his bat. He hit .310/.390/.646 in 159 games with LA.
