Shaquille O'Neal sat down with Angel Reese Unapologetic angel Podcast this week – who would have thought!? — and spent three minutes giving her some cold truths and some even better advice about the level of play in the WNBA.

And Reese…had NOTHING about it. None. Zero. Nothing. Fuck off, Shaq! We're just fine. Thank you.

First of all, Shaq described watching the WNBA without players like Reese and Caitlin Clark on the floor as “like watching a high school game,” which was hilarious. True, and hilarious. And if we're being honest, not even a good high school game.

I've covered high school sports in Florida for years – including a state championship basketball team. Not a small school. A huge school. It was a much better game than anything I've seen in the WNBA this season.

To his credit, Shaq didn't just attack Reese with insults. He came up with some solid solutions – like lowering the basket a little to allow players to dunk.

Reese, who stood to gain the most from such a move, was so offended by this attitude that you'd have thought Shaq had kicked her in the teeth.

Yes, the whole thing is hilarious. Shaq is a funny guy from the start, especially because he's so direct. He and Charles Barkley both don't mince their words, which makes their interactions with other people all the better.

Do we agree with the great man on this? I'll be honest, I'm not sure I do. Would watch a pretty girl dunking – his words, not mine! – Are you more inclined to watch a WNBA game? I mean, I just don't know if it would do that for me.

Now, perhaps allowing them to dunk would make them less likely to miss easy layups and thus be mocked on social media – and that goes for Angel too.

That would certainly help, right!?

Yeah, I mean – there’s no harm in lowering these bad boys even just a hair. Just can't hurt. However, one man's opinion. Well, two. Me and Shaq.

Apparently not Angel though. She was having none of it.

In that sense, she wasn't having any of it this Follow-up comments from Diesel:

Yes. That's…certainly a route to take if you're Shaq. Not to whom I would go, but to each his own.

Look, I don't want to get into it too much because that's probably a different story in itself, but the internet was happy about these comments from Shaq.

Kinda scary? Yes. You can bet on that.

But let's be honest: Angel Reese chose to wear these shorts in public. This wasn't a leaked video. When you do that, you feel like whatever comes after is kind of fair game. NO?

In this case, both are probably true.

Anyway, great podcast from Angel and Shaq. There's a lot going on there. Angel didn't seem to enjoy any of it.
