Following Saturday's two big SEC matchups, there will be some major changes in the polls heading into Week 9.

There were two top-10 games in the conference this week, including one in the top 5. No. 7 Alabama suffered its second loss in three weeks against No. 10 Tennessee. After the 24-17 loss, the Crimson Tide will certainly fall in the current rankings and will have hurt its chances of making the College Football Playoff, while Tennessee will have strengthened its position in the fight for the SEC Championship Game.

Running back Trevor Etienne and the defense led the way in the win, scoring three touchdowns and forcing four turnovers against the Longhorns.

Missouri should also be among the SEC teams to remain in the top 25, as the Tigers came back from a 17-6 deficit to beat Auburn 21-17 after quarterback Brady Cook returned in the second half after leaving the game with had left the game with an injury in the first quarter.

LSU and Texas A&M also picked up wins in Week 8 against Arkansas and Mississippi State, respectively. Here are the results of the SEC teams in the updated US LBM Coaches and AP Top 25 polls for Week 9:
