Sevilla will go into Sunday's clash in strong form, having won three of their last four games in all competitions, while having been beaten just once in their last six games, a 5-1 defeat on October 20 near Barcelona.

Garcia Pimienta's side beat Espanyol 2-0 in La Liga last time out and sit 10th in the table with a total of 15 points from 11 games, just three points behind fifth-placed Athletic Bilbao.

Los Nervionenses were in the Copa del Rey clash on Wednesday evening and secured their place in the second round of the competition thanks to a 3-0 win over Las Rozas, meaning they have now kept two clean sheets since their heavy defeat against Las Rozas stayed Barcelona.

Sevilla finished 14th in La Liga last season, which proved to be their worst finish since relegation at the end of the 1999-2000 season, so there is clearly room for improvement this season.

After a difficult start, there have been plenty of positive signs in recent weeks and Sevilla will now be looking to add two more wins against Real Sociedad and Leganes before the November international break.

Real Sociedad have certainly underperformed in the early stages of the 2024-25 season and boast a record of three wins, three draws and five defeats from 11 games, which leaves them 12th in the table with 12 points.

The Basque side are already eight points behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid and goals have been a major problem this season, finding the net just eight times, their worst record in the division.

Imanol Alguacil's team was strong defensively, conceding just 10 goals, but their lack of goals is worrying as there are only two players – Takefusa Kubo And Orri Oskarsson – La Real have scored more than once this season.

Real Sociedad suffered a 2-0 defeat to Osasuna in La Liga last weekend, but have won two of their last three games, including a 2-1 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League on October 24.

The Basque team has three games left before the November international break and faces Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League next week before a home game against La Liga leaders Barcelona.

We say: Sevilla – Real Sociedad 1:1

Sevilla beat Real Sociedad 3-2 at the Estadio Ramon last season and there hasn't been a draw between these two sides since March 2022, but we can imagine the points being shared in a low-scoring clash on Sunday.
