Thibaut Courtois – 9: The miracle man continues to pull off one parade after another – can he now be called St. Thibaut? The back-heel save in the 82nd minute was the icing on the cake, keeping Madrid in the game at 2-2.

Lucas Vazquez – 5.5: For a player who prides himself on his physical level, he seemed far off the pace. I've never seen Lucas so leg heavy. When he conceded the second goal, he ran all over the pitch, but that doesn't serve as an excuse for getting hit on the ball. In the second half, the decisive goal in the 83rd minute made amends to make it 3-2.

Antonio Rüdiger—8: Brilliant header after a save into the box that broke the dam and caused a flurry of goals in the second half.

Eder Militao – 6: He is very direct in his passing game and hits several balls from a long distance to Vinicius and Mbappé.

Ferland Mendy—4: There is no need to double Guirassy and release Malen in the penalty area. A large part of Madrid's first goal conceded will be down to Mendy's decision-making.

Luka Modric—7: Orchestrator in the second half, helping to keep ball circulation quick and vertical.

Valverde – 6: Played as the sole defensive pivot for most of the game. The team's uncoordinated pressing in the first half led to him taking up too much space. In the second half he improved with the rest of the team.

Bellingham – 7.5: I will be frustrated not scoring a goal in this game. Played centrally and was much more involved near the goal: he hit the crossbar and almost scored with a header from the six-yard box after a late run. At times he ran unnecessarily to apply pressure while the rest of the team held their position, creating large gaps. His effort and attitude were finally rewarded with a tackle near his own penalty area that released Vini for the fourth goal.

Rodrygo – 7: Made a huge change defensively and covered a lot of areas. He hit the crossbar in the first half and was part of the play that scored the game-winning goal in the second half.

Vinicius Junior – 9: UCL's historic individual performance. He completed a hat-trick in the second half and scored goals any player would be proud of, including a 60-yard carry with the ball that ended with a confident shot from outside the box. Loading Balon D'Or…

Kylian Mbappe – 7: He improved significantly in the second half, using his sudden burst of speed from a standing start to create separation. One such moment on the right side opened the game with the first goal. Mbappe's cross was exactly right, so Rüdiger sank the header perfectly.

Substitutions:

Eduardo Camavinga – 7: Produced a few threaded passes through the defense from the edge of the opponent's penalty area.

Tchouameni – N/A: Late substitution for the injured Rodrygo just after Madrid had taken a 3-2 lead in the 83rd minute.

Arda Guler – N/A: Scored the fifth and final goal after winning the ball back near the center circle and then releasing Vinicius on the counterattack.

Dani Ceballos – N/A: Good in tight spaces to move the ball and maintain possession.
