It's gearing up to be a World Series for the ages.

Two of Major League Baseball's most storied franchises, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, will meet in this year's Fall Classic, and both teams will feature some of the biggest names in the game.

The Dodgers are led by Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese superstar who made history this year by becoming the first player ever to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season. He is just one of several All-Stars on a team that also includes former league MVPs Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.

The Yankees have two of the best hitters in baseball – Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. Judge led the majors in home runs (58) and runs batted in (144) this year.

No team has won more World Series titles than the Yankees, who are seeking their 28th championship and first since 2009. The Dodgers won their seventh title in 2020.

Tickets for the series are expected to be the most expensive ever. And ratings are expected to be sky-high too, with the two powerhouse teams representing the two largest TV markets in the country.

The Dodgers won Game 1 in Los Angeles, defeating the Yankees 6-3 with a 10th-inning grand slam by first baseman Freddie Freeman. Game 2 will be played in Los Angeles on Saturday before the series moves to New York on Monday.
