“Phoenix Suns reveal starter, Bradley Beal's status vs. Los Angeles Clippers”

The Phoenix Suns will not have the services of star guard Bradley Beal tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Therefore, their starting lineup will look like this:

Tyus Jones
Ryan Dunn
Devin Booker
Kevin Durant
Yusuf Nurkic

Beal was questionable with an elbow injury that occurred tonight. Josh Okogie was again sidelined due to a hamstring injury, which is why he has not been able to take part in every regular season game so far.

Beal missed last weekend's home opener because of the injury, with freshman Dunn starting in his place.

“It feels better today,” Beal told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic at the morning shootout. “I got a small injection. I have to let this sink in, let it sink in, but I feel a lot better today than I have the last few days.”

Now the Suns have to field a starting unit again without Beal.

Beal's previous game log:

at LAC: 24 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST
at LAL: 15 PTS, 1 REB, 9 AST
vs. LAL: 15 PTS, 3 REB, 4 AST

Beal also recorded five steals in his three games played.

There was hope that Beal would return to his previous scoring form after he was forced to assume point guard duties under his former head coach Frank Vogel last season.

The Suns released Vogel, brought in Mike Budenholzer and also signed starting point guard Tyus Jones to fill those duties, allowing Beal to play in his more typical off-ball role.

With a 3-1 record for the Suns entering the 2024-25 season, it's hard to complain about the results so far.

With an average of 18 points per night, Beal is just behind Kevin Durant (29) and Devin Booker (23), while he is behind Jones (6) with 4.7 assists per night.

Beal isn't the most prominent star in Phoenix, but he's certainly proven his worth as the new year begins.

The opening tip between the Suns and Clippers is scheduled for just after 7:30 p.m.
